Introduction
The world as we know it has collapsed. It has all started on the historic day of the 31st of December, on the year 2019. It started out as a normal New Year's Eve. What people didn't expect, however, was the amount of chaos achieved in one night. Thousands of rapes in Europe, a sudden string of bombings by the Boko Haram in Africa, terrorist attacks all around the world, and finally, Greece's economy completely crashed, bringing Europe with it. It was like all the evils in the world joined forces on that one night. Bulgaria took Greece's downfall the hardest, having many Greek banks within it. Meanwhile, in the rest of Europe, the refugee crisis continues growing worse as East Europe urges the European Union to begin deporting illegals. Poland continues to stray from the EU as its borders begin construction earlier in 2019 to prevent Muslim immigrants from getting in after the right wing party just had enough of it.
In 2020, the Middle East, the Syrian civil war affected the entire region, creating an all-out war between Syria and various other nations. ISIS began its march into Russia afterwards, with the first batch of invaders being killed by the raging Russian winter. In Europe, the economic crash began a chain of events, leaving Germany the only nation powerful enough to properly supply its citizens, and because of this, other European nations began clinging onto Germany in order to survive. East Europe, meanwhile, was being besieged by Muslim invaders like in Russia. The tight borders and their guards, however, prevented them from doing so. There have been reports, however, of bombs going off. Minor skirmishes, the guards describe them, but suspicious citizens suspect a full invasion force as families living near the borders hear loud continuous gunfire from beyond the walls.
The left-wing parties of Germany, meanwhile, keep supplying the refugees, while the German citizens were forced to starve as their once glorious nation began its Islamization. And so, a gang of German patriots, joined by a distraught commander-in-chief of the Bundeswehr, took arms and defied the government, attacking all refugees on sight, thus sparking a civil war within all European nations as they are all called to arms by their motherland. East Europe funded the patriots, who soon took overtook command over Germany and all the other European nations, thus establishing a single European nation that fought Islamization. Their influence spread to East Europe as well, eventually creating a massive country made of diverse cultures intertwined by a sense of Eurocentrism, though radical leftism still disturbed the peace.
In Asia, things were going badly as China, too, had an economic downfall. This, coupled with an extreme Marxist organization within the country, killed off the supposedly growing empire. The nations that joined its international bank fell, as well, and this time, the whole Southeast Asia took it the hardest, creating panic and disorder as the Taiwanese Republic of China army retook China from the Marxists, which soon fled to the Gobi Desert to hide and coordinate terrorist attacks on different government buildings, further weakening China’s republican government. To strengthen itself, China began its quest to conquer a small portion of the war-torn Africa, and take Southeast Asia as a prize, but unfortunately, a group of radical Muslims began their expansion Southeast before China could, taking almost the whole of SEA, leaving only the major islands of Visayas and Luzon free from Muslim control and Shari'ah Law, with the military failing to retake the nations.
Japan allied itself with China as North Korea dropped a working hydrogen bomb on South Korean soil, killing millions in the process. Because of this, the South Koreans, supported by China and Japan, waged war against the north, ousting Kim Jong Un, his loyalists, and the military, sending them on a trip to the Gobi Desert with the Chinese communists, though deluded guerrilla fighters loyal to the Kim Dynasty still continued terrorizing the Korean peninsula.
After this, only terrorism remained. Within the time between 2029 and 2035, things were relatively calm compared to the earlier days of the global catastrophe that was then known as the Catastrophe. However, in late 2035, the world almost came to an end. From all around the world, an organized crime syndicate whose goals are still shrouded in mystery, stole fifty nuclear warheads from all around the world’s nuclear arsenal and launched them on fifty different countries, creating nuclear fallout around the world that almost killed off the entire human species, killing four billion people, leaving only five billion left.
Massive wastelands became ever present around the globe. This event was known to the remaining three billion as the Apocalypse. While chaos ensued in America, the fifty states were split into two. The leading American political parties began a civil war for control over the country, between the Democratic Frontier, and the Republican Grand Old Army.
The two fought until they reached a stalemate, when all of a sudden, a conglomerate of drug cartels showed up around Central and South America. Eventually, this cartel continued growing in size until the continent was practically filled with drug-addicted terrorists. To make matters worse, it had shook the hands of multiple Islamist rebel groups from the Middle East. Talking about radical Islamist groups, in 2036, multiple Islamist groups from all around the world formed a covenant, creating a massive empire almost overnight calling itself the Caliphate.
In Europe, radical left-wing terrorist groups inspired by the East German Red Army Faction began to commit atrocities, murdering rich targets, no matter if they’re charitable, or if they’re greedy. In China, the same Marxist group was becoming more and more active. In SEA, all of the Muslim-controlled nations joined the Caliphate. Meanwhile, the radical leftists began to coordinate to form their own global union, creating the Red Front funded by the Democratic Party.
More radical leftist groups like the Free Children of Anarchy popped up everywhere around the world, creating trouble everywhere.
Having enough, the weakening world leaders around the world finally met face-to-face after years due to the lack of communication. What they agreed upon would change the world for decades to come. What was created was the International Defense Committee, or IDC, which was a committee built to reestablish law and order. The remaining militaries of the world, now splintered into small militias and paramilitary forces, were to be brought together under one leader: the director of the IDC, who answers to the leaders of the Council of Power, formed on the same day, which is lead by the four leaders of the world’s most powerful nations, China, the Republic of America, Russia, and the European Nation.
The paramilitaries and the militias were not to be turned into a disorganized army, but into a combination of armies serving under Private Military Companies. Now, thirty years later, we reach the middle of the 21st Century. However, some units went rogue, choosing to join the enemy and give up secrets in return for comfortable lives. Their betrayal would mean their contribution to Earth’s return to a Second Dark Age, and now, the IDC stands as the only force strong enough to defeat them, the only hope for a new civilization. Whether they succeed or not is entirely unknown, as a new, more dangerous enemy appears.

Xiao Lóng Army
A Taiwan-based army formed from the fragments of the Chinese and Taiwanese armies. It had its beginnings from the Border Militias that guarded the mainland China from the Gobi Desert and the Middle East, and gradually evolved into an entire army, complete with an armored division, multiple infantry units, an air force, and paratrooper units. It’s not completely made up of Chinese, though, as it has thousands of soldiers from Southeast Asia that managed to escape prosecution by the radicals, as well as soldiers from Luzon and Visayas. Being based in a large island, it also has at least five fleets, though they lack naval officers and personnel.
The Republican Grand Old Army
Formerly an isolated army used by the Republicans to combat the Democratic Frontier, it has now gone International, and has began fighting at home and around the globe. It is completely made up of Americans, and is made up of an armored unit, and infantry unit, and an air force.
The White Guard
A Russian-based unit, possibly the largest within the IDC, having several armored divisions and a large infantry army, but it barely has a navy and an air force, having three ships, five submarines, and thirty aircraft. It is purely made up of Russians from both the army and from the Spetsnaz, and operate all over from Siberia all the way to Syria.
The European Armed Forces
After Europe was united, it called for a large army. The result was the European Armed Forces, which joined the IDC not as a private military company, but as a full-on army, the last standing army in the world. It has a full navy, a full ground force, and a full air force, though it is small. It consists of Europeans and descendants of Syrian refugees who chose to learn how to be European.
Blacklight
Possibly the largest PMC that didn’t descend from a former army, the Blacklight serves as a deadly force of intelligence officers, spies, and very mobile soldiers. It has only a bunch of helicopters and AFVs as its vehicles. They specialize in covert operations, and are comprised of different nationalities.
Sons of Wallenstein
The second largest PMC within the IDC. It is lead by German national Gustav Wallenstein, formerly of GSG9 and of the Bundeswehr in the pre-unification of Europe, who was honorably discharged after sustaining massive injuries all over his body in 2025 in the civil war between them and the loyalists to the Merkel regime. He formed a group of mercenaries from fighters from all over the world, mainly to get rich, but when they joined the IDC, their ideals shifted from being greedy buggers to honorably soldiers fighting for the restoration of civilization.
El Juarez Cartel
A drug cartel made up of South and Central Americans, they guard the dusty plains that act as the borders between the remnants of the USA and Mexico. It has started multiple skirmishes between the Republican Border Guards. It can only operate there, however, as Chile, the only remaining nation in South America free from Cartel control, began taking the ships of other nations in case a complete takeover happens. Not only are they drug dealers, they are also the heart of the black market, making them a high-priority target.
The Caliphate
A conglomerate of different Islamist groups like Al Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, ISIL, MNLF, Boko Haram, etc. It’s a large empire of radicals, ruled by a single holy man known only as the Caliph. It spans from Southeast Asia, to the Middle East, to Africa, with only Israel being able to resist their control, seeking control over all those regions, but hindered by their temporary ally, the Red Front.
The Red Front
The Red Front was formed when exiled communists, left-wing terrorists, and Cubans joined together by the Gobi Desert to form a union of communist terrorists funded by the Democratic Frontier. Its ambition is to take over the rest of the world, and create an international union of communist states. It remains active in the Gobi Desert, and has conquered most of Africa, the whole of Cuba, and a portion of Democrat-controlled land in North America.
Progressive Children of Anarchy Activist Militia
A militia that had its roots from activists cleverly using the Internet. It began from an anti-capitalist and anti-consumerist movement in the 2010s, with a group of hackers on their side, starting small in America and eventually growing to be a global movement. They are progressive socialists in their thinking. It started off as a hippie movement, peaceful, but soon began to grow increasingly violent to the point that they’ve begun fighting with law enforcement, with horrible consequences. Once, a law enforcement official accidentally fired a burst of lead bullets instead of rubber, killing three activists. This angered gun-toting anti-police activists, who soon opened fire upon law enforcement. At the economic collapse, as everyone became impoverished, instead of helping the impoverished up, they dragged the rich down, committing atrocities against the middle class.
The Green Phoenix
The mysterious and small organization that killed billions of people after a few members climbed their way into the ranks of multiple governments around the world with nuclear arsenals. Their motives are unknown, but they are destructive, and they don’t care about the world. They are smart, cold, and calculating, and though they hold no land big enough to consider a country, they are the most destructive.
The Traitors
PMC traitors to the IDC who defected to join the Green Phoenix in exchange for rewards.
