Casper was doing what he was always doing around that time of day, reading. He was always reading, every day, always the same kind of books too. Romance. Okay sure, some people may call it literate porn, which it is and the young man found nothing wrong with that. They were nice books though so why should he let anyone else's opinions matter to him? To be honest, he was a bit reclusive. He didn't mind helping the customers that came into the shop, and he didn't mind talking to them and discussing books, but he was a little too cautious to actually make new friends. Even still, he read his book. Business was slow after all so what other things did he have to do other than organize the already organized bookshelves, display tables, and such. Yeah, reading. It was about the only thing he had to do around that time of day.

Zach wore a frown as he made his way through the doors of the small bookstore. It was a frown that was in place most days, but today it was especially ingrained. Researching for cases was never something he particularly enjoyed, especially when it saw him travelling half way across the city to pick up a book that could only be found in a small, out of the way bookshop. Scowling, he made his way over to the front counter, noticing quickly the well kept look of the small shop. He couldn't help but think that everything looked far better than he had expected... but he wasn't there to look around.

Putting on his most intimidating look, he strode over to the counter, leaving over it to get a good look at the clerk that sat there. He was obviously young and seemed too into the book he was reading to even notice that he had a customer. Speaking of the book... Zach raised an eyebrow and he took in the risque cover it displayed. It was practically nothing but rather muscular man's naked torso and the words "Love at First Shot" in fancy calligraphy. Zach frowned and cleared his throat, easily getting the shop keeper's attention. He was ready to get this over with already.

Casper glanced up from his book for a moment before looking back up again quickly, his cheeks growing redder by the second. Reddish Brown hair, amazing green eyes, tall and well built. He'd just read the description of this man in his book and it made him a bit awkward considering what kind of book he was reading...

"How... can I help you?" He murmured, trying to regain himself to speak properly.

It was a lot harder than he would've imagined though, all considering the attractiveness of the man standing in front of his counter. The man was intimidating, tall, and just over all very nice looking, though very obviously some kind of police officer or something. It was also clear that the man didn't really want to be there and he was in more of a hurry than when he first came in.

Zach frowned at the boy, not missing the prominent blush or the starry eyed look he was getting. All he needed was for some book store clerk to be fantasizing about him. Though... it was kind of hot to think that he might be the boy's dream guy or something, and Zach wasn't above using his charms to get things. He was an asshole like that.

He switched his frown out for a rather charming smile and leaned over the counter a bit more, putting himself closer to the boy. "Casper.", he said confidently, reading the boy's name off a tag he wore on his shirt. "I'm looking for a book that I heard I could only get here. I can't remember the name of it though, or the author." He smirked a bit, flashing his teeth playfully at the clerk. "Help me out, would you?"

Casper swallowed a bit and nodded. "Do you remember what it was about?" He questioned as he saved his place in his book and stood up. He was still trying to get his cheeks to stop being so red, though it wasn't really helping all that much. This man was charming, very charming, and the young man was more than willing to help him out with trying to find a book that he didn't know the name of or the author. He knew it would take a good half hour at the minimum to really find what he was looking for, well at least he hoped so anyway.
