(Dedicated RPers wanted. Only join if, like me, you wish to be a part of an interesting RP that doesn't die, has tons of detail, but also allows you to be creative! Details about the RP itself are inside.

1,524 readers have visited The Hidden World since Mr. Baneling Squishy created it.

Introduction

(So, this is a revival of an old RP I was once in. Don't worry though, the story will be our own, I am just recycling the world, and. Maybe one or two of my characters)

Do you think you really know the world you live in?

Well, you don't. Not unless your either one of us, or one of the few that knows the truth. Humans think they own the world, that they are the most powerful. That is true, but they do not know the whole story. The whole truth of our hidden world. Werewolves, Demons, Magic, all exist. And what you are going to read here is the truth.

First, I will start with describing this world to you, before I tell you what happened.

Werewolves. They operate in three ways. The Clan, Packs, or Loners. The Clan is the largest Werwolf pack, made of several different packs. It is lead by a family of White Werewolves, the only bloodline to be born and always be an Alpha. But not all werewolves are united, and there are other packs. A pack is made up of two to twenty werewolves typically. Werewolves can be created three ways. A blood curse, being bitten, or having werewolf parents. Werewolves experience increased speed and strength, enhanced senses, and a slightly slowed growth rate as well as accelerated healing. They are weakened by Silver, Wolfsbane, and a new moon. Werewolves may transform whenever they want, but MUST morph on a full moon. Their self control is much weaker during a full moon, and may attack anything that isn't another werewolf on sight. The only exceptions is the ones they love. Werewolves, due to their mental formation around bonds and packs, are fiercely loyal to those they care about, no matter what. Even lone wolves, if in love with someone, will feel this bond.

Werewolf transformations, especially the first one, can be initially painful. Werewolves must take precautions during a full moon to not be found afterwards, to avoid a complicated and embarrassing situation. Additionally, werewolves see themselves kind of as Supernatural policemen like Angels, though the Angels would refer to them more as vigilantes. They protect humans for the most part against supernatural threats.

Vampires. A nearly extinct race. You see, remember how the Catholic Church is all about baptisms? Well, you see, a few centuries ago Van Helsing laced the Holy Water Pools with a poison that only kills Vampires. A poison that spreads to their children. As a result, Vampires can't turn these people or feed on them, and will die themselves if they try. One vampire could desolate so many though, but now they must remain in secret, for they are still hunted for their crimes. The Werewolves have made various pacts with the others to take them down, though the sub race is still in question. Vampires have the ability to manipulate and control minds that are not strong enough, are extremely fast, can turn into giant bats, can summon swarms of killer bats, are capable of dark magic, and have the strength of three werewolves. They burn in the sun. It is currently believed though that the poison may be wearing off, and 1% of the human race is naturally unaffected regardless.

Blookals (Blu-Kals). These people were immune to the vampire poison, but also were semi immune to vampires. This resulted in a hybrid of human and vampire, called the Blookals. Blookals are immune to the mental powers of Vampires, but also only have a fraction of their speed and strength. They have excellent night vision, and are capable of moving without making a sound. Due to being partly human and alive, they don't need to drink blood, but it does accelerate their healing. They also age, just slower then humans. They age about one half as fast. They also don't burn in the sun because of this as well.

Demons. Enemies of the Angels. There have only been three times Angels and Demons have worked together. The Battle of Stonehenge, the Battle of Jamestown, and The Battle of Times Square. Demons are creatures of Hell, sent to do the bidding of the underworld. There are several types of Demons. Hellspawn have no physical form of their own, and must possess a human or animal. Lesser Demons actually have a physical form, and usually have some sort of power associated with that form. Then there are Higher Demons. Higher Demons have several different forms they can take, one always being a human form, and have a variety of powers that are almost always associated with their title or speciality. The Demon of Pain and Torture, Zamikar, is capable of prying open memories of his victims, as well as causing them pain without touching them and the ability to bring back the dead temporarily. He tortures them not only physically, but mentally.

Demons are vulnerable to Angel Powers, Demon powers, Holy Water, fire, Wiccan Powers, and frankly, being torn into pieces. But only werewolves and Vampires normally have that level of strength. They are also weak against any blessed weapon. Witches can summon and bind Demons temporarily, but not kill them. Demons can't kill witches either though, due to ancient magic. Despite popular belief, most demons do not seek to start the apocalypse. They enjoy the current world too much.

Angels. These Angels are not like you expect. They are not like the ones in the bible, nor are they like the ones in Supernaturals. Angels consider themselves the Policemen of the Supernatural world. Although they are not at ends with each other, Angels rarely work together with Werewolves due to the difference in how they handle things. Angels are capable of purifying demons from their vessels, as well as being capable of using a holy blast (smite) on them. Angels are capable of flight, and when they do their wings magically appear on their backs. They can bless weapons, and have the ability to heal others. However, their healing ability requires a great deal of charging, so they must greatly limit when they use it. They are not as strong or fast as werewolves or Blookal, but they make up for that with their telekinesis.

Angels are capable of dying by conventional weapons. However, most Angels are skilled warriors. Any attack done by an Angel can kill a demon. They have a limited ability to warp reality, enough to establish themselves identities in the modern world we know, and to summon their weapons from thin air. There are no rules for how Angels interact with humans provided they do not endanger the mission or the angels, and they handle it responsibly.

Wiccans. A Wiccan, or "good witch", is a human being with magical powers who is good in nature. Many of the original Wiccans were the sons or daughters of Witches, or earned their powers through great feats. Most Wiccans now are Pacifists, who only use their healing powers to heal those who are good. Wiccans have a variety of other powers as well, but most are offensive. They can control nature, remove curses, speak to animals, creating protective Wards, and heal, and those are the powers they usually use and teach their children to use. A Wiccan can be a boy or a girl. The Wiccan powers that don't really go with their pacifist ways are Purify, which purges a demon out of a human and does great pain to the demon, pyrokinesis (even fire is a part of nature), and Beast control (they view controlling beats as a violent act as it takes away their free will. If an animal lets them without being asked or demanded to though, it is acceptable as it was of their free will).

Most Wiccan Covens are viewed as Cults despite their limited joining basis and completely good intentions. It is a common Wiccan legend that they must eventually retire their peaceful ways, and do as their ancestors did and actively fight evil in places other then themselves. Some Wiccans already believe this, and embrace their old powers. However, those Wiccans have generally been exiled until the Wiccan Council believes the legend has come.

Witches. Humans corrupted by Dark Magic. Witches are capable of raising the dead, placing curses on objects and people, summoning and binding Demons temporarily, creating storms, telekinesis, and breaking through magical protections. While corrupted by Dark Magic, Witches are not necessarily evil, though they are usually doing evil things. Witches can usually have their services bought by paying them in souls, magical artifacts, or rare potion ingredients. Occasionally, other things can be used as well, but that is the basis. Witches and Demons cannot harm each other due to old magic.

Witches have three good weaknesses. One, they are mortal. Two, their powers make them out of balance with nature, resulting in the fact they can't swim and immediately sink to the bottom. And three, Witches cannot hear the laughter of children. The third weakness is more of a way to find them.

Psychics. What? Psychics? That doesn't sound all magical. Well, guess what. Psychics are a result of humans evolving around a magical world. You know all those Prophets? Psychics. Psychics can have a variety of powers. How many they get and which ones though are random. On average, a psychic gets between one to three powers. However, typically the more powers you have the less powerful each one is. You can get clairvoyance, telekinesis, ghost whispering, empathy, true sight (You can see demons inside of humans, and you can tell if someone is a werewolf, Vampire, Angel, ect. The only ones you can't identify are Blookal, because they are part human. You can also see the magical aura of a magical item or artifact), and telepathy.

The problem with psychics is the logic error. Because the evolution was to adapt to Magic, which neither makes sense logically or follows the rules of magic, though they are unclear themselves, psychics suffer migraines, which get worse temporarily if they use their powers too much. Additionally, some powers themselves can be dangerous. Empathy that are abused or around too much pain as a child can result in them becoming addicted to feeling the misery of others. Also, mass sadness or depression can suffocate them. Ghost whispering can get them too attached to ones they have lost. And telepathy has known to cause several problems due to the fact they are taking it out of context.

Nephylium: A child of an angel and a human, they have some of their Angel powers. They have telekinesis, Angel Wings when they reach their thirteenth birthday, and have a weaker smite ability. They have some enhanced speed and strength, but not as much as full angels.

Other then that, they are like mortals. They age and die normally. However, if they remained on the side of good, they ascend to Angels upon their death.

Ghosts: Souls who refused to leave this earth. They can be banished by Wiccans and Witches, smited by Angels, and absorbed by demons. Psychics can actually kill them. You can also destroy them by destroying their bones, or bring them to peace which causes them to ascend. Ghosts are generally neutral. Some ghosts are different, trapped on the world either because of a spell, or a sense of duty towards something. Those ghosts are a bit trickier to get rid of, but still doable.

Humans. For the most part, blissfully unaware of the Hidden World. They are your normal average humans, that somehow end up getting into a ton of trouble.

Shades. A very strange and unknown species. Shades have extreme amounts of power, but never ever take a side. There are only three shades known to the supernatural world. Zaris, who seeks the adventure of a new world. Verun, who does things simply to see how they turn out to interest and please him, and Carven, who's motives are about as clear as a dusty windshield. All three of them generally can't be trusted by anyone, no matter the side or morality.

The Others: This is a constantly generating world! I can't wait to see what others come up with! :D

Curses: A curse, or he's, is something placed on an item or person meant to cause misfortune. However, other then Wiccan Magic, there is always some way to break or remove the curse. It's unavoidable, and impossible to make completely impossible to achieve.

Magic: Magic is not actually limited to supernatural species. It's just easier for them. Magic is capable to be used by anyone, they just have to try really hard compared to Wiccans and whatnot.

Side Notes:

During both World Wars, there was a secret supernatural war. However, there is an interesting twist. During World War One, the Germans and it's allies were the side of good. They lost the war in the eyes of the humans, but secretly it was because they focused on rooting out evil, and succeeded. They lost World War One, but their actions prevented evil from growing. In World War 2, the unfairness of the treaty was believed to allow an evilness to corrupt the Axis powers. However, werewolf and angel interrogators determined that while evil agents were intertwined in the Axis powers of WW2, they discovered Hitler himself had no evil or demonic influence. In the process of their interrogations, the Angels used their powers to make Hitler realize the truth of what he had done. This, not the impending Russian army, caused him to commit suicide.

Vampires don't have Transylvanian accents. No vampire excluding those who live there do. Most have Greek/Italian accents, or the accent of the country they live in currently.

Excluding certain times in history, there has never truly been a Good v. Evil situation since the Vampires were irradiated by Van Helsing. Angels and Demons have their feud, but their conflicts are rarely over some big piece of the apocalypse. Just them hating on each other.

Not all werewolves are good. Even some Angels are not completely good. Psychics themselves are probably the least clear.

Blookals can go either way.

Magical Objects do not mean blessed or enchanted objects. Magical Objects are created from a great emotional moment or a great triumph or accomplishment, the object itself usually being near the epicenter, and the energy from this moment being infused into the object to give it an effect related to that moment.

Anyways, so you get the general idea. So, here is some background knowledge of recent events. Now, we are going to be making our own characters (unless you want to take any mentioned), but I thought this might be good to know. Here are some brief notes on stuff that happened.

Two boys, sons to a single mom and an unknown father, discover they have Angel powers. After demons attack them and kill their mother, they hunt down their father, who is human and a Hunter, to get answers. They discovered that they are technically only half angels, but neither of them are Nephylium, raising the question on how they became part angel.

Meanwhile, Zaris seeks the end of the world to make room for a new, more interesting one, sees this mystery as a threat. He sends more people after them, while kidnapping an eight year old Wiccan Boy, Liam, as Zaris has determined he is the one he needs. Liam manages to escape, running into a werewolf, Daniel Smith, who proceeds to protect him. Zaris' agents tracks him to his pack, resulting in a big battle. The battle was slowly being lost by the pack, so in an act of defiance they sacrifice themselves so Liam and Daniel can escape.

Anyways, some other stuff happens, and eventually a few weeks later, Zaris manages to recapture Liam, using his bloodline in his blood to activate the apocalypse halted by his ancestors centuries ago. Zaris activates it in Time Square, and time is frozen for everyone unless they are supernatural or warded. Zamikar, a high level demon, teams up with the half angel Nocte and his brother and father, along with Daniel and a few others (including some help from Cavren and Verun, the other two shades, who claim they don't want this world to end because they have "vested interests") to stop the apocalypse. Zamikar helps because he doesn't want to lose his supply of humans to torture. The group fights an army of demons, manages to save Liam, and stop the apocalypse, sealing Zaris in another existence and severely limiting his power and influence.

Zamikar then goes and kidnaps Nocte's brother, and Liam. He torture's Tyler to discover what he is and how he is part angel but not Nephylium. Meanwhile, he tortures Liam to discover if he has any siblings and if his parents are alive or dead. While he tortures Tyler while getting little to know results, he eventually learns from Liam he is an only child, and adopted. In an effort to make sure the Apocalypse can never be activated again (which actually ensures it's safety and counts as saving the world), he has the cult that worships him sacrifice Liam to him.

Nocte and the others find and free Tyler, but are too late to save Liam. However, a shade intervenes and instead of killing Liam, Zamikar is sealed inside Liam. Their unique bond forces them to share control of the body and agree on things. Meanwhile, demons who were loyal to starting the apocalypse go after Zamikar, both for "justice" and to gain his powers. Liam is forced to fight demons, breaking his pacifism. The entire demonic and Angel community are shook up by the fact the Apocalypse was canceled, resulting in disunity between both of them. With everyone shook up from the battle, and with everything coming to a close, Nocte tries to get Liam to go home after catching up with him. Liam refuses, saying he can't until he removes Zamikar, and he believes he may have broken the code anyways.

SOOOOOOO. This is a little under three years later. The Hidden World is stirring. Werewolf and Angel factions are trying to keep order, but the chaos has grown and caused opposing factions to form. It's being managed currently, but concern is growing. It's getting more and more dangerous.

Is there a plot? Sure. We just have not given it shape yet. The plot will be shaped by our characters and what we post.

No mandatory character sheet, but here is one for those who would like one. You can add more, but everything in this one you have to have:

Name:

Aliases/Nicknames:

Age:

Race:

Powers/Abilities:

Description:

Notable Items/Equipment:

Strengths:

Weaknesses: (cannot be the Race Weaknesses)

Rules:

No god mod.

Reserve any already named characters in the OOC, and you must reserve before you make the characters.

Next to Race, after you put the name of it, put its number of when it was listed. (IE, Werewolf 1)

No making characters too powerful.

No being a jackass in the OOC.

No graphic romance. This is a kids show, damnit! Nah, but keep everything reasonable. Fade to black or go to PMs for that kind of graphic detail. Gore on the other hand....sure we can handle that. :)

Put the character's middle name in. Demons are excluded from this.

No one can make a Shade character. Too OP.

YOU ARE REQUIRED, BY LAW, TO HAVE FUN!

Bold the first letter in each part of your characters name in the CS.

I will do none of the stuff I told you to do in the CS, so you can't just copy me. You have to read these. If you are, now you know why.

Liam Mitchell: Northern United States.

November 10th.

Three years after the Battle of Time Square.

Liam had to park the car outside of town. He could not risk anyone seeing him drive it. Too many questions. He could feel the tension as he entered the town himself though. There was a good amount of the supernatural community here. He walked into the bar of all places, sat down on a stool next to a man and ordered a burben.

"Aren't you a little young for a drink this strong".

"Please, we both know who I am. That horn over there? From a demon who fought in the Battle of New York. A lot of fighting spilled into the streets that day. Isn't that right, Dylan?"

The man turned around, and smiled at Liam. "Long time no see, little man".

"So, are you looking for me too?"

"No, this is just coincidental. I respected your decision to leave. Nocte on the other hand, he is looking for both you and Tyler. Tyler is the one I am looking for, subtly. I do have business to run, after all".

Liam smiled. "Of course, you are a thief and a conman after all. The only human I know to have made a deal with a Demon, and ripped the Demon off. That was hilarious, by the way". Liam's smiled faded however. "You cant convince me to go back, you know that right?"

"I know Liam. But the least you could do is call them. They are Wiccan, not Anti-Technology. They have phones".

"Not yet...I need to do things first. Though, if you could, give them some roses for me. Now excuse me..."

Liam sat up, and telekinetically flung the bartender against a wall. "I want to know why you just signaled that group of demons over there to have me killed. Yes, I noticed. Why are you signaling Demons to kill me? Especially when you know who I am and know you need me alive..."

"Its just...good business...our leader wants it this way. All hail Vivren" the man spoke, before dying. He had taken a cyanide pill. Dylan stood up, tipped his hat to Liam, and started to leave. "We both know I am a businessman, not a fighter. And Liam, dont hurt them too much before you kill them".

The group of demons attacked Liam. Liam set one of them on fire, telekinetically flung another into the air, before getting hit on his side. Liam quickly controlled a nearby tree, and made it whip its vines around the third demon, and pin it to the tree, unable to move. The fourth demon wrapped itself around Liam like a snake, trying to squeeze him to death. Instead, he set it, and himself partially, on fire.

The demons on fire quickly died. The one he telekinetically flung in the air was aproaching his right side. And then, a Hellshot was fired from behind at Liam. Liam jumped up, displaying some inhuman strength, dodged the shot, and discovered the bar tender was still alive. And he was a demon."Clever trick".

Liam proceeded to burn all of them while they were caught offguard by his dodge, finally dispatching the demons. He put his hands in his pockets, as the air started to get colder, and walked away so no one found him suspicious. The demon would find that the tree would slowly squeeze it to death. Liam walked back to his car, only to find out that it was dead. Needed a new battery. Which means, he was temporarily stranded. He needed a new car to keep him moving. A new car with no questions asked.

Liam had to be especially careful. Ever sicne the Battle of Times Square, he has been in danger. Demons generally want to kidnap him, some Angel and Werewolf factions want to kill him, plenty of Blookal want to kill him. If Liam was to die, the Apocalypse can never be started.

This has forced Liam to remain on his own this whole time. Its clearly had its affect on him. He continued to walk around town, looking for a good car to steal.

Meanwhile....Nocte Parker: Northern United States.

"Well, have you seen either of them?" Nocte asked an innkeeper. It had been three years of research, searching, and moving around, but he was closing in on Liam. Tyler had gone completely off the grid, and was impossible to find, but Liam was leaving a trail of bodies.

Liam had lost part of his humanity, his innocence, and both he and Nocte knew it. They knew it ever since Willowfield, where he managed to catch up to Liam for a moment, only to end up fighting the biggest battle he had fought in other then Times Square. And that very battle was why, as well.

There were enough people in the Battle of Times Square that Liam and Nocte's roles in it where none. Nocte was part of the group that charged in to stop it, while Liam was The Key, needed to activate the apocalypse. The battle of Times Square was massive, as all the Supernatural beings in the neighborhood fought in it.

"You lookin for Liam and yer brother, ain't you?" A man asked him. Nocte looked over, and without a double to him, it was a shaman.

"Yes, I am. Can you tell me anything about them? Where they are?"

"No, only that you will see them soon enough. You are also about to be shot, so I would recommend beign ready".

Nocte telekinetically slammed a man into the wall. "Now, who are you?"

"All hail Vivren" he noted, stabbing himself with the rest of his strength. Nocte looked at this with shock. "Who is Vivren?"

"A faction leader. He believes he can prove himself by killing Liam, and you. This faction is strange though. Made of werewolves, Demons, Blookal, all dat stuff. Rumor has it Vivren is one of the surviving Vampires".

"Great this just gets better and better". Nocte said, as he started to walk out of the town. He could not risk displaying his wings to the public.

Mirajane looked through the leaves of a bush at her prey. A small, helpless rabbit. It would do for the time being but having not eaten much that day, her mouth began to water, but she had to control her sudden urges to pounce out and snatch the rabbit. She placed her paw down on the cold forest floor and slowly made her way closer to the rabbit. Mirajane lowered her head and dug her claws into the ground readying herself to devour the poor rabbit, when suddenly she heard screams!

Mirajane jumped and the rabbit took off like a lightning bolt, obviously hearing the screams as well. Mirajane ran after the rabbit growling and clawed its foot before it dove into a small burrow, making her lunch impossible to get at now. Mirajane growled angrily and ran around like a little child throwing a tantrum, but it was a bit too human like to see a wolf do it. She sighed and skulked away annoyed and hungry.

Mirajane caught the scent of many different kinds of supernaturals, but one in particular she was fascinated with. It smelled like a Wiccan, not an old one whose scents are usually musty and stale but this Wiccan was unusually young and his scent smelled like bark and dirt...or maybe that was her. Anyways, she followed the scent to a parking lot that was surrounded by the woods on the very edge of the town. She sighed and knew it was her place of employment, the local tavern. Mirajane took a step turning away when she smelled blood. She dashed into the parking and towards the tavern's entrance she saw the burnt corpses of demons everywhere and Blood. She stood in shock and smelled the Wiccan. Β The scene reminded her of the Times Square incident, all the bodies scattered around trying to rescue that Wic-... 'Could it be him? The Wiccan boy?' She thought then shook her head. 'I better go find the Wiccan.'Β

She started towards the woods again trying not to be seen by any humans...they might send animal control after her or something crazy like that. Mirajane caught the scent of the Wiccan and followed it closely yet she had to stay in the woods to be hidden from everyone. She laughed however when a passing truck saw her and they almost veered off the road as they tried to look at her more. Mira got a big wolfish grin on her face as she trotted along feeling like she was getting closer to the odd smell of the Wiccan.Β

Mira finally stopped dead in her tracks when she saw a boy who gave off a weird aura or feeling to the area, making Mira feel a little uneasy. She slowly tried to keep a watch on him and not draw attention to herself. She had her red cloak tied into a scarf thing on her neck in case she'd have to shift into a human form to speak to him, but she hoped she wouldn't have to. She decided that after following him for a good five minutes that she should start to reveal herself and she stepped out from the woods with her head lowered close to the ground and her tail low and not quite between her legs but close. Her ears flattened and she tried to look non threatening, but she wanted to know who this boy was, this Wiccan who smelled like the one at the battle in Times Square a few years ago.

The weather was nice and calm around the shoreline, it was surprisingly empty, but that makes sense because of the clouds looming over the skies. The sound of calm waves crashing against the beach filled the air. But suddenly one of the clear waves was disturbed. A character burst out from the depths of the water and wondered towards the land.

Jodac stopped just steps away from dry land, his clothing dripping wet and his neck brace twinkled in the light. He was anxious, it was the first time Jodac will be stepping onto land, but he had to do it. As he stood, waiting, he had the feeling that the small waves banging against his legs became stronger. "Damn Poseidon, pushing me on" he thought to himself as he pushed all of his courage into his legs and walked onto the land. The change of pressure and air being a transport medium caused his walk to seem strange, he waddled, trying to stay balanced. "How do land people walk on this?" he was annoyed with the lack of water. His feet were sinking into the sand as they changed from flippers to normal feet. As he got further up the beach, his feet stopped sinking and his walk improved slightly, his bright red British Colonial uniform stood out from the surroundings, he could be seen from a long distance away. Jodac was still waddling but he learned to use his trident as means of support while walking.

"I need to get this over and done with. Where could I find an angel? Or a Demon...."

#, as written by Malan
"Oh, how conceited you fairies are." Malachi paced the small soup kitchen. "Thinking that you're above the Law of God just because you serve some food to the poor. Let me tell you something. A lesser good does not make up for a greater evil. Your existence is not excused by a small act of charity."

"We've never hurt anyone," whispered one of the fairies. She was a young, thin woman, like the other six that were tied to their chairs. This one had bright purple eyes and tiny wings poking out behind the straps of her apron.

"That is not the problem here. You are an abomination in the eyes of God. I wish it could end differently. Truly, I do. But this Earth was for humans in His will. You are the spawn of Satan. I pray that you will find redemption in the afterlife. But here you will find no mercy." Malachi waved his cane over the seven fairies again, just to be sure. All of them were of pure fairy blood. They were a regular coven, right here in New York City.

"You wouldn't kill us," said another fairy, one with dyed pink hair and a thin face. "We've heard of you, Malachi Vidal. You are a famed hunter of vampires, werewolves and angels. You only fight those that can fight back. Fairies are not fighters. There is no sport in killing us. No honor."

Malachi was silent for a long while. "You're right," he agreed. "I won't kill you. I'll leave it to my apprentice."

Olympia raised her rifle. "Got it, boss. I'll make this quick." The Italian hunter aimed at the first victim. "Deus vult," she whispered before taking the first shot.

Brooke sat on the porch of her home. She had a mug in hand and a half gallon of tea on the table next to her. She sat looking at a dress magazine while waiting for people to arrive to the range. "Why do people enjoy wearing them?" She said with disgust looking at a short blue dress with a few frills. "Why would anyone want to wear such..." Brooke thought for a moment before continuing. "...such 'stylish' death cloaks?" She chucked the magazine across her front yard. "Damn mailman, trying to piss me off I bet." She crossed her arms before realizing that a young couple had pulled up to her driveway. "Um, miss." The guy called. "What!?" Brooke replied angrily. "Were is the nearest gas station?" He said, a bit scared. "It's about 10 miles from here, but the gas is terrible an filled with bad things." "Oh.. um okay.." The boy replied. His girlfriend whispered something under her breath, but Brooke could hear what it was, "You're so checking her out!" She looked away, mad at her boyfriend. "Thanks, lady." Then as he rolled up his window he argued with his girlfriend. "I was not!" "Yes you were, before you asked me out you said you were in to blondes!" The continued to argue as they pulled out. "Stacy, this is why I avoid civilization." She said to her pet as he walked outside to enjoy the rest of the day with her. Stacy looked at Brooke then made some turtle noise that translated into, "Don't worry Brooke! I will distract them!" "Oh, what a pal!" She exclaimed as she rubbed the top of his head. "But can you name me something more manly?" He emphasized manly. "I'll think of something." Brook said just before she heard screams in the distance. "Did you hear that?!" She asked Stacy. "No, I'm a turtle thus having poor hearing." "Don't sass me, Stacy!" "Can I please have some tea?"

Ashley cracked his eyes open as the announcement to put up tray and fasten seat belts played over the intercom. He had been having an extremely vivid dream about Times Square again. His head throbbed, the beginnings of a migraine was in the works. Something about flying always gave Ash headaches. He groaned and hit the button to bring his chair forward. The man sitting next to him also woke up, letting out a similar groan. Ashley had sensed the man was also a Psychic when they had boarded the plane back in L.A., albeit the man's powers were weaker than Ashley's. They had both conversed for awhile before Ash had put his chair back and dozed off. The man looked over to Ash "Something about planes fucks with my head." Ashley smiled halfheartedly." I know what you mean, man." Ash dug into his coat pocket and pulled out his sunglasses. He unfolded the arms and jammed the glasses onto his face. With another sigh, he picked up a small half empty cup of ginger ale and locked his tray back up. He downed the rest of the flat pop and put the empty cup on the floor. The plane touched down with a jolt, and came to a stop. The intercom kicked on again.

"Welcome to New York City, where the local time is approximately 5:46 p.m. We will be taxiing for a few more minutes, so please remain in your seat with your seatbelt fastened until the captain has parked us at the gate and turned off the seatbelt sign. Use caution when retrieving your personal belongings from the overhead bins, as contents do shift during flight. On behalf of your crew, we thank you for flying with us today. We hope you have a great day!"

Ashley looked out of the small window and was greeted with New York's skyline. "Welcome home, Ash." He whispered under his breath.

~-~

Ashley flopped in the back seat of the cab, his head in a full blown migraine. The terminal and baggage claim had been one long, noisy hell. He popped two Excedrin in his mouth, chewed up the pills, and swallowed. He dimly heard the driver ask where he wanted to go. "A hotel would be nice. Which one? I dunno, a decent one, surprise me. Somewhere in Manhattan." The cab driver took off, and Ashley leaned his head up against the window, enjoying the cold glass against his forehead. The radio was on, tuned into a news station that was talking about a shooting spree that took place earlier in the day. Apparently two psychos shot up a soup kitchen, killing the entire staff. Nice to know the city didn't change while I was gone. Ash thought as he stared out the window, watching the people on the street pass by.

Liam Mitchell:

Liam looked around for a car to 'acquire', but his curiosity made him return to the demon attack and face the demon trapped by the tree. "Why is Vivren trying to kill me? Most demons want to capture me to reactivate the apocalypse. What makes Vivren different, Takara?"

One perk of having a piece of a higher demon's soul was not just the powers, but the passive abilities as well. He knew the name of any demon he looked at. Takara flinched by this knowledge, enough to slip and answer the question. "Vivren plans to make his own apocalypse. He will kill you all and make the world in his image".

Liam found that less then optimal. This Vivren would have to be extremely powerful. It made him consider, for a moment, contacting the others, but two things stopped him. Shame and an approaching white werewolf. "If you are here to kill me, don't bother. It appears someone has found a way to create an apocalypse of their own, without me. So you should warn the clan...".

However, as the white werewolf did not immediately attack him, he was momentarily curious why. "Why didn't you attack me on sight?"

Meanwhile...Nocte Parker:

Nocte was walking to follow his next lead when he got a call. He answered it.

"Nocte, you there?"

"What is it, dad?"

"Callus is dead. Murdered by gun".

Nocte seemed shocked. "Hunter's don't typically go after fairies. Especially fairies who assisted in Times Square. Any idea who did this?"

"I don't know. But Callus's journal was not on his body. Nocte, he wrote about everything in that thing. Now, it might be in his apartment, but if they took it..."

"He knows about me, Liam, Daniel, Tyler. Even Dylan. Dad, I still have not found Tyler, but I am close to Liam I think. I have a lead a car I know he stole was found abandoned by a small town sheriff. I was about to go there now".

"Find Liam, and get back to New York. I am heading to find someone I hear touched down in New York. Il see you soon".

"So will I. I have something you will want to hear".

Nocte hung up and unfurled his wings, as they appeared from thin air. He then rushed into the sky, and towards Liam. Its time to stop running Liam. Before this was personal. But if this Vivren sent people after me, the others are in danger too...

Mirajane stopped walking and looked at the boy wondering what she should do. He mentioned something about an apocalypse and warning the clan...the clan. Mira thought, 'Maybe he doesn't know I'm a lone wolf...i want to talk but I'm a little scared...' She came a little closer with her ears held against her head and her mouth closed and head low to the ground still. She nudged his leg softly then ran into the woods.

She felt a pressure build and she whimpered a little as she transformed into her human form behind a tree so he couldn't see. She shivered as she was bare skinned crouching on the ground and quickly wrapping her big red cloak around herself covering herself. She stood up weakly on her legs and shivering from the cold she walked out, feeling odd as she felt the chilly, slightly wet leaves and dirt stick to the bottoms of her feet, then transition to the icey pavement towards the boy. She pinned the cloak around her neck with the leaf pin and came to the boy. He was slightly shorter than her yet still close to her height.Β

"I am not here to kill you...um Liam? I smelled your, well the blood and...stuff, came to investigate and smelled you. I remembered you from Times Square." She smiled softly and looked down. "I was trying to save you...I didn't know where you or Dan went...then our pack got attacked and I wanted to help Dan, but...yea well you know what happened."Β

Mirajane ran a hand through her hair and looked back up at the Wiccan boy. "I can help you like Dan did! I might not be as strong right now, but I'm better as a wolf!" Mirajane smiled and shrugged hoping the boy would believe her. "I don't want to kill you...i swear."

After wondering around the area, Jodac soon found himself on some strange flat land. It seemed stone, but was black with white lines dotted across the middle. Was it a pathway? "Humans are strange..." He spoke to himself as he followed the road, still using his trident to keep himself standing straight.

Suddenly Jodac heard a strange beeping noise, he stopped and turned around to see a large object screeching toward him. He grobbed the trident and pointed it towards the object, ready to fight. But it stopped just inches from the tip of his weapon. A relatively large being opened a door at the side of the object and hung out of it.
"Dude, what are you doing?" He stared at Jodac confused, "Are you some kind of cosplayer?"
"I am searching for an Angel to bring an alliance between the skies and the seas." Jodac spoke out towards the man, still pointing his trident.
"There must be something wrong with you, but whatever. Where you heading? I can give you a lift."
"What? I don't know."
"C'mon, get in. The way you are walking, you must be headed for New York. I'll take you there." The man spoke out and pulled himself back into the object (It was a truck), and opened another door on the opposite side. Allowing Jodac to climb in, accidentally scraping his trident against the roof.
"What's yer name? I'm John. WOA, careful with the roof dude!" The man spoke as he began driving forward. "Why do I smell sea?"
"I'm Jodac, oh I apologize." Jodac looked outside the window with a very surprised look on his face, they were moving across the land at great speeds. How was this possible? John simply clicked his tongue and continued.

--------------------------------------------

After a few hours of driving, John finally stopped the truck and turned off the engine. "Right, we are here now dude. I gotta refuel and then head off to Manhattan. See you later!" John spoke out to Jodac, signalling to him to leave.
"Thank you, friend" Jodac left the vehicle and walked across the road. "I thought humans were expansionist bastards..." Jodac thought to himself.

People gave him strange looks as he wondered across the road, walking on the sidewalk simply because everyone else was. Some people stayed away from Jodac at the sight of his trident, others whispered to each other asking about his clothing. There was the odd rebellious teen who laughed and pointed at Jodac. "This is what I imagined humans to be."

New York City, The Carlton Hotel, Hotel Lobby

The hunters walked into the building with confidence. "My daughter and I are waiting for someone," Malachi alerted the attendant without breaking stride, as the pair walked over to the waiting area. Olympia grabbed an extra large cookie on display as she was walking.

"This is a nice hotel," Olympia noted as she put her feet up on the glass coffee table, drawing eyes. "I mean, really nice." Olympia had a guitar case next to her, which held both of their rifles and Olympia's shotgun. "They don't make them like this in Italy. Well, not in the slums where I grew up. Other side of the city, yeah, I'm sure." Olympia rubbed the couch she was sitting on. "So, you find anything in that journal the guy fairy had on him?"

Malachi sat nearby in his own chair, fiddling with his cane. "Some names," he said dismissively. "I haven't looked through it well enough. This amulet of yours gives my body strength, not my eyes." The old hunter watched people come and go through the front door. "They were fairies, though. Doubt it could be anything very important."

"That anonymous tip really did good by us," the woman noted. "More accurate than even Archangel Gabriel's insight. We actually got all seven fairies cornered at once." Malachi drew in a sharp breath when Olympia mentioned their mentor.

"Describe it to me," he whispered.

"What?" Olympia asked as she bit into the cookie.

"Gabriel's death, of course. How did he die?"

Olympia was silent for a moment, the only noise she made was the crunching of her cookie. "I had been raised believing that all beings who possessed magic were inherently evil." She finally said. "I was forced to kill all sorts of things from a young age. Younger than when you started, old man. They've streamlined the process. I took my first life when I was seven. Killed four people in a bombing that only hurt the magically-affected. Gabriel made it no secret that he was an angel. But he wanted to make us think he was special, somehow. But when a group of werewolves attacked the monastery, I watched him let my classmates die as he saved himself. I realized he was no different than those he preached about. So that night, while the others were rebuilding, I killed him. Shot him in the back of the head while he was reading." Olympia finished her cookie. "He didn't deserve any last words. I wouldn't have listened, anyway."

Malachi pursed his lips. "Huh. It was that easy." Olympia just shrugged. The duo sat in silence for a while, until a hunchbacked woman walked into the hotel. She was wearing a full Muslim burqa, covering ever part of her body in a silky purple robe. "Here's our harpy," Malachi whispered, and the two rose from their seats.

"Who the hell is she fooling with that getup," Olympia asked, "dumb bitch was born in Kentucky." The woman rose from her seat and hooked her arm around the harpy's. "Hannah-May, you old devil. Trying to hide from us in plain sight." The harpy tried to pull away, but Olympia held fast. "Now now, let's not make a scene in the lobby, Hannah. We'll resolve this in your suite."

"Carl." Brooke said breaking the silence. "Is that manly enough for you?" She looked at Stacy and waited for an answer. "No. I mean something MORE manly like." Brooke growled at Stacy's answer then got up and went to set up a target. She took Stacy with her so that they could continue to converse.

As they crossed the large gravel driveway Brooke had thought she saw a large shadow. She looked up in the sky and expected to see a large bird, or maybe even and harpy. She didn't see anything though, and just continued forward to the supply shed.

Her hand was on the door handle and she was about to open it, but she stopped herself. She could feel something strange in the air around her. She was starting to feel some strange vibes. "Are you thinking of a name for me?" Stacy interrupted. "Shut up, Stacy. I'm busy thinking." The turtle felt offended and retreated into his shell. Brooke tried to identity the vibes. 'They're not bad, angry vibes.' She thought. She searched through her mind to match what it was she was feeling.

She thought of what had happened earlier, how she thought the shadow could be a harpy. Then it came to her. "Magic." She whispered. She realized that she could feel more magic than usual in the forest today. 'There must be some people here, of different races than I.' She was a bit excited, she was hoping that among them could possibly be a psychic.

Then Brooke felt a little uneasy. She remembered what happened three years ago. 'Could they be discussing the battle? They might even be evil beings.' Brooke took Stacy back inside the house. She wanted her turtle to stay safe. She then went back outside, taking out her bow and keeping her arrows close. She wanted to stay armed and alert just in case.

(so, as GM, and to make sure no one feels left out, going to use my GM power of NPC control right here)

Henry Tyler Carter:

Henry had managed to alert one of his sons, Nocte. Tyler was still missing, but Henry hoped and believed he was still okay. Now, he had to alert some others.

He started calling his supernatural contacts, but what they told him was less then settling. This was not the first kill, and none of them believed it was the last. They informed him of one person who might be able to spread the word though, a psychic by the name of Ash Hargrave. Someone mentioned he was sighted getting into a cab, asking for a hotel.

This eventually, after several tips, led him to the suspected hotel the cab was taking to him. Henry waited there for him, to warn him and see if he could help get the word out. A few cabs were approaching. Hopefully this is quick, time may be limited.

Liam Mitchell:

Liam looked at the woman. She seemed sincere, and she didn't attack him on sight. She also apparently knew Dan, and that his pack helped them escape. No one but his pack and a few demons would know that. Still, he couldn't be sure. "Fine, but if you try to kill me, I will end you".

He felt somewhat guilty. If what she said was true, then they might have found her if they went back. She seemed to be a lone wolf now, and not the former pack carrier. Most packs have a designated carrier, someone to carry clothes in case they needed them. Liam was kind of embarrassed for her. He could tell she was basically naked. He also wasn't sure what to do. He was looking for a car, but many werewolves hated to travel in compact spaces, such as cars.

"Anyways, we still need transportation, unless you actually want me to ride on your back. And maybe you want me to get you some clothes?" Liam was generally being nice. Most werewolves he met didn't care about clothes except for sticking in, and they also preferred people not to ride them. But, he only really met one pack, and he never got to know any werewolf that occasionally tried to kill him, so he had no clue really.

Mirajane held her cloak around herself as she shivered a little. She smiled and closed her eyes for a moment sighing softly, "I am not going to kill you...Liam?"Β

She opened her eyes and looked at him, knowing from the way he had been walking before was more like he was looking for something or someone. Mirajane knew that he had noticed the she was vulnerable and asked her if she needed clothes. "Oh um...for the time being I can manage I think. It's more important to get you a vehicle. But I am sorry to say I don't know how to operate a car or get one..." she shrugged and lifting her foot and rubbing it against the back of her left leg.Β

"If you'd feel more comfortable if I was in more appropriate clothing, I won't object to wearing anything of your choosing...After we get a car." She blushed and walked past him sniffing the air. "I don't think I can smell a car, well one we can use...I am sorry that my skills are not in an area of expertise that you require at this time."Β

She heard Liam say how he doesn't think she'd like him riding her back. She chuckled softly and smiled looking back, "Well, I have never had someone ride on my back before. But if its what you'd like...however I don't think that I'd enjoy it..." she blushed timidly.Β She suddenly perked up and mentioned quickly, "OH! I forgot! My name is Mirajane! It's nice to meet you, again i guess...?"

Jodac had already got himself known in New York, not a lot, but word of a weirdo wearing colonial uniform and carrying a trident walking around asking people random questions. He did not realize this of course, he just thought that humans are assholes for pointing and laughing. Or maybe they were just strange? Jodac had never seen a live human before, especially not in these numbers.

It didn't matter though, he continued asking people questions as he wondered the streets; "Have you seen an Angel? I need to speak to one?" or "Are you an Angel? Can I speak to your leader?". All he got as answers though was a faint 'no' coming from behind laughter. Or the people would just pick up their pace and try to avoid him. It won't be long until he runs into the police.

It had been about 10 minutes since the bird-like shadow was cast from the sky. Brooke was still debating with herself if she should walk around the forest to go and investigate. "I should, just in case they need my help. Ohhh, but what if they're vampires and they try to kill me?!" swoosh "I could take completely wooden arrows with me." She said as she hit the target. "I could sharpen them extra sharp, too." She inspected the tip of her arrow. It was long and wooden with a metal cap on the end. "What if they're ghosts?! I hate ghosts!" She frowned then shot the arrow she was looking at. "If I left the range someone could sneak into my house, too! They could kidnap Stacy! They could take my herbs and spices!" She shot another arrow angrily. "I keep missing the center!"

Brooke realized her frustration and took a deep breath. "Wow, I'm..." She shook her head disapprovingly at herself. She walked to the target and retrieved her arrows. "Maybe I'll just stay here and wait for the magicalness to go away." She kept her arrow case and her bow with her. Brooke went to her car and took out an old book that she was reading and sat on her porch. "Now where was I?" She removed her book mark and continued her book.

Ashley woke up with a start, his forehead red from leaning on the window. It had started raining, and dusk was setting in. The taxi pulled up in front of a hotel and parked. Ashley paid for the fare, giving a quiet "Thanks" before getting out. He fished his two bags from the trunk of the car and put them on the sidewalk. no sooner had Ashley shut the trunk lid then the taxi sped off into the night. Grabbing his bags, Ash made his way to the glass double doors of the building when he spotted someone a little further down the sidewalk. The man was a former patron of Ashley's old bar, and Ash was surprised to see him. Ash set down his bags and made his way towards the man. When eh drew close, Ash called out "Henry? Henry, is that you?"

Henry: "Ash, glad to see your still kicking. I wish I was here with better news, but we have a situation. First of all, have you heard about Callus' murder yet? Some humans, with clear training and knowledge of the supernatural species, is hunting them down. And I dont mean like what I do. What I do is hunt the violent ones that hurt humans. What they do is murder any of them, even peaceful ones like Callus".

He started to walk towards the hotel. "C'mon, lets get out of this rain. I also need to ask you something else. Have you heard of anyone named Vivren?"

Liam:

Liam looked at this new person. "Its okay. I am sure there is one in this parking lot we can use..."

Liam used his telekinesis ability to unlock one of the pickup trucks. "Kinda like that"

As he got into the drivers seat and turned it on, he looked up only to see someone's face looking right at him. It was Nocte. This startled Liam. "Nocte! What the hell! What are you doing here?"

"I am here to warn you about...."

"Vivren? Already tried to kill me. How did you find me?"

"Took awhile, but eventually I just managed to catch up by following the clues"

"I told you to stay away".

"Please, we both know whatever is going on its big and its bad. We need to get to New York". Both Nocte and Liam looked toward Mirajane. "Mirajane, this is my friend Nocte. nocte, this is Mirajane. Now that your both introduced..."

And that was when several demons came out of nowhere and attacked them.

Mirajane blushed and shivered feeling the cold after feeling a small breeze fall over them. She watched Liam open the door, but suddenly a man came in front of her as she was going to get into the passenger seat. She stood there not feeling as threatened by the man as she had smelled him from somewhere, somehow.Β

Liam talked with the man for a little then Β they remembered her presence and both turned to look at her at the same time. She blushed even more and pulled her cloak over herself more, trying to cover herself. "Its nice to meet you, Nocte."Β

Suddenly, Mirajane heard a rustle and she instinctively growled and smelled demons. She turned around and growled loudly at the demons she, Liam, and Nocte. As the demons started coming closer, Mirajane ran at one forgetting that she wasn't a wolf, she was thrown to the ground and she yelped as she hit her head. She quickly crawled away behind a car and a demon following her. When she came back out she was in her wolf form, her white fur stained with a demon's blood. She ran at the group and dug her claws into a demons body and threw it to the ground, then ripped its throat out.Β

Re: The Hidden World
