Lock laid on the upper level of the boat that he found to bring him to the islands, Both Scarlet and Azure flew around the boat while the others remained in their Pokeballs. He leaned up and tilted his sunglasses down to see some islands out in the distance. Hey, old man! Those the islands you bringing me too?, Lock asked in his usual tone. The old sailor merely grunted as he looked at his navigation device to see where he was and how long until he didn't have to deal with Lock.

You may be paying me good money for this trip but don't think I won't throw your ass overboard if you keep up your attitude, you aren't my champion remember that, and don't doubt a man of the seas strength. Your terrible attitude aside, yes those are the island you want to be dropped off on. The old sailor began to go faster, this had been one of his worse trips out of Kalos. Lock's terrible attitude had soured what could have been a great ride on his boat on such a gorgeous day. As he pulled up to the shores of Haven, the center island Scarlet and Azure zoomed past him, dropping things they found while flying next to him as an apology for Lock's behavior. Alright I brought ya here, and you paid me. That concludes our business make sure to not call me again until you fix that attitude. That old man began to zoom off so he could get to enjoy the ride home to Kalos.

Lock looked up the small hill that was before him as he saw small a familiar face, the bubbly-eyed brown haired assistant of his stood at the top of the hill waving to the three of them before Scarlet took off and grabbed Sophie's hat from her and began to playfully fly around her just out of reach. Scar, couldn't you at least say hi before teasing me. I haven't seen you three is two months. Sophie continued to chase Scarlet around for her hat. Then out of nowhere Sky flew in and snatched the hat from Scarlet and giving it back to Sophie. Thanks Sky! Scarlet landed in front of Sophie who gave her a big hug.I missed you guys! It has pretty hard to keep some of the new Pokemon is check without Azure or Aura there. Sophie walked over to Lock, a big smile on her face and gave him a big hug. Seems that Hoopa escaped you huh, two months and still where you started out. Well it is okay you have time, I mean going after the one that literally can hop through hoops and vanish wasn't the best idea, that aside where is he? Sophie's big brown eyes lit up with excitement and she watched Lock grab one of his pokeballs. Greninja, get out here! Lock said as he threw the luxury ball in the air and out popped a shiny Greninja This is Sophie and she will be taking care of you whenever I leave you at my ranch. She is an important friend so be sure to be nice. Sophie's eyes glimmered at both the new Pokemon she had yet to meet and what Lock had said. She put her hand toward Greninja. Sophie Valentine, average Pokemon breeder and Lock's assistant. Pleased to finally get the chance to meet you Greninja shook her hand and replied with a smile.

Sophie and Lock began to walk to the mansion at the center of the island and used the time to catch up. So how is the Pokefood doing, you got any better since the last time I was home. Lock asked Sophie as they began to see the large mansion they were heading to. Yea I am getting there. Still not anywhere close to how good the food you got from Sinnoh that one time. I mean none of the Pokemon complain, or refuse to eat it but I know I can do better. Sophie said in response before quickly remembering something. Did you hear? A Rayquaza was seen at Sky Pillar, a trainer was sneaking around and saw it fly from the top of the tower. Lock's eyes lit up and he clenched his fist. I saw one too, Hoopa summoned it and the Rayquaza destroyed us, his power was unreal but he seemed different from all the pictures I saw, I think it was able to mega evolve. If that is the case I am far from being at the level I need to be to catch Pokemon of that level. I haven't faced defeat like this in a very long time. Lock said as his reaction obviously shifted. Well then we'll both have to try our best to get better and being here with some great trainers might help us both. Sophie said trying to cheer Lock up. Sophie looked up as they were pretty close to the mansion.

Oh yea the egg from your friend hatched didn't it, where is the lil' guy? Lock asked in a near immediate change in mood. SHE is a girl and her name is Aoi. Sophie said in a joking manner as threw out her Pokeball with Aoi in it. Aoi popped out and almost instantly hid behind Sophie's leg. Sophie picked her up and pet her head. It is okay Aoi, this is one of my friend Lock. Lock's everyone's trainer that you are friends with at the ranch. Aoi looked up at Lock small tear in her eyes. Don't worry Aoi. We will have time to get to know each other fine. Lock said with a small smile. We should probably put everyone in their pokeballs before heading in there, though. We wouldn't want to seem unappreciative of the invite. Lock said before returning Scarlet, Azure, and Greninja to their pokeballs. Sophie returned Sky to her pokeball but kept Aoi in her arms. I am going to keep Aoi out for now, she shouldn't cause to much trouble if she is just resting in my arms. Sophie said with a small smile as they walkied up to the mansion gate and rang the bell.

From high up above everything looked beautiful, even the empty ocean seemed pristine and pure. Powerful in its majesty. Dark green wings, small but powerful, beat endlessly in Alex's ears. Their owner flew on and on with a smile on his face, letting out a joyous roar as he soared among the clouds. Lancer was strong and proud, effortlessly able to carry passengers across long distances. Despitethe speed at which the large dragon was flying Alex still wished Lancer could be faster. Some of the strongest trainers in the world were goin gto be on that island and Alex knew he had what it took to beat them all. Behind Alex sat a yellow figure clinging onto the boy for dear life, spoons desperately clasped between Alex's chest and Thomas' own hands.

Though the sounds of the rushing air and beating wings were ringing fiercely through Alex's ears a voice came into his mind clear as day, and as familer as a lifelong companions should be."Perhaps we should have taken a boat instead? Or even a plane Alex? Lancer's having to much fun with this." As if on cue the powerful dragon let out what almost sounded like a laugh as it increased its speed, hurtling like a bullet towards the island not so far into the distance. "Boats and planes are too slow. And besides you didn't have to ride with me fraidy Meowth. You could have just went in your pokeball." Any onlooker would have no idea a conversation was taking place. Just one of the many reasons Alex valued his Alakasam's presence. Thomas shrugged and sighed slightly at his trainers impatience. This was supposed to be a vacation but the Pokemon was afraid that Alex didn't see it as a vacation at all.

AS they flew Alex noticed a boat already docked at the island. He shrugged slightly. he had hoped to be the first one there but evidently someone beat him to it. Alex patted his Dragonite slightly on the back signalling him to speed up if at all possible. Once they made it to the destination they flew over the island somewhat searching for the mansion. "There Lancer. Pull down there please."

The dragon landed perfectly and elegantly earning an affectionate rub and a smile from his trainer before being sent back into his ball. It was then that Alex noticed two others standing at the door of the mansion. Alex could only hope they were strong as he walked toward them, Thomas not far behind him. Once reaching the mansion he and Thomas stood behind the two other guests giving them a polite nod and wave, while keeping on hi usual neutral, though steely expression. When he spoke it was in his even more neutrally bored tone. "Hello there." And that of course much to Thomas' chagrin was all Alex had felt the need to say, the boy not being nearly as accustomed to talking to people as he was with his pokemon.
