a character in “Romance at Camp Aloe”, originally authored by AngelBell, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Andrew Peter Andersk

Age: 17
Birthday: April 3rd
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bi-sexual

Personality: He can be rude and tempermental, quick-tempered and often very curt, but he is really very loyal and caring once you pass his exterior. He likes to party and socialize, though he is very nervous at times. He likes to care for others, though seems very determined to get through the camp without caring for anybody.

Written Apperance: Dirty blonde hair and dark hazel eyes, slightly tanned and very lean muscled from years of basketball and judo training. He stands at 6 feet tall, and seems very solid. He usually wears jeans, Converse, and t-shirts or button-up shirts.

History: He is the younger of the Anderson twins. He grew up protecting his twin and trying to keep her from boys, though he wasn't able to save her from her first "love". He dated the same girl for only 7 months, when he discovered her cheating on him with his sister's boyfriend. He did not truly care, for before dating the girl, he had fallen in love with a young teacher-in-training, a man in his late 20's. They were secretly together for a year, when the man admitted he was engaged to a woman, and abandoned him. It left Andrew burning, and he has never forgotten it.

Likes: Reading, Being Active, Protecting his sister, Music, Basketball

Dislikes: Cocky girls, "Tomboys", Boys being around his sister

"Anna-Beth."

Silence.

"Anna."

Silence.

"Damn it, Anna-Beth, would you cheer up?"

"No."

Andrew growled, and cranked the radio volume higher, brow furrowed in annoyance. She was so easily bruised, his twin. She'd done nothing but cry since they'd gotten in the car, and it was really getting on his nerves. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel of the old convertible, weighing his options, when she whipped her head around to stare at him.

"Aren't you upset?" she sniffled, "She hurt you, too!"

"Not even. I'm just fine. Now c'mon, we're here." He pulled the car to a stop and stepped out, slinging both his and his sister's bag over his shoulders, and walking around to open her door. The tiny sprite of a girl stepped out of the car and buried her face in her brother's chest, a fresh round of tears making their way down her face.

"Oh, c'mon now, Anna...no more. It's gonna be better soon. I'm gonna be here, and I ain't goin' nowhere, get it?" he smiled soothingly, grabbed her hand, and started to drag her towards the front, keeping her tiny fingers captured in his own.

"Andrew and Anna-Beth Anderson," he told the counselor woman stiffly, who smiled and looked at her clipboard. Andrew decided he hated clipboards, and Anna-Beth just stared at her.

"She looks like a bumble-bee," she whispered to her brother, who tried not to laugh, and snorted instead.

"Andrew, you'll be in Oak cabin, and Annie-Beth, in Maple."

"It's Anna-Beth. Anna," she coughed gently, trying to ignore the worried look on her brother's face.

"We aren't in the same cabin?"

"Nope!" the woman kept smiling. Andrew decided he hated her smile as much as he hated her clipboard.

This is absolutely terribleReily thought. His older sister tapped his shoulder and smiled. He ignored her and turned his face to the window.Reily listned to his sister Alice singing to Avirl lavign givesyou hell."Hey cheer up kiddo this will be a fun experience for you!" she shouted over the blaring radio.Reily still ignored her and slumped in his seat, sighing. The radio reminded him of the loudspeaker at the school, where his girlfriend brokeup with him,so he instantly shut it off leaving them in silence.Finnaly Alice spoke up."Hey listen, you need to stop grieving over over the breakup. The camp letter said that you will find another girlfriend.......or is there something you're not telling me?" she said teasingly. Reily laughed as they pulled into the camp parkinglot. As they pulled in to a space his sister raised her arms."Yay! I made you laugh for the first time eversince that evil girl." she threw her arms around him and smiled. "Yay,you are choking me!" he said jokingly as he then hopped out of the car, grabbing his big gray suitcase.Alice got out, hugged him, ruffled his hair and kissed his cheek."Have fun little brother." she said beforegetting back in the car and speeding away as Reily made his way to the camp office. He noticed that there was three people already there. Two seemed like brother and sister and the other a camp worker."Name?" she said a little two hapily.Reily walked up to her."Reily Hartwell." he said clearing his voice."Okay you're in maple cabin with Annie-Beth here." she pointed to the girl with the boy next to her.He turned ."unm hey I'm Reily." he said then turned to the women in black and yellow."uh can I have a map." the women handed him a map and he left for the cabin.Once he got inside the cabin,he found a bed he wanted and threw his suitcase under it."I'm totally not ready for this." he mumbled.

"She'll be staying with another GUY?" Andrew growled, turning cold eyes on the boy's back as he walked away, "No, no. No, no, no. I won't allow it."

"Sorry, but rules are rules!" the woman chirped cheerfully, "Go ahead and follow him to your room, and Andy, go up to yours!"

"My name is ANDREW." He hissed right in the woman's face, dumped his sister's bag on the ground, and stormed up to the cabin. He slammed inside, tossing his bag on a bed, and began to search through it desperately. He ignored the girl on the other bed, and stared directly into his bag, his search becoming more feverish.

Anna-Beth stooped and picked her bag up, before tip-toeing up to the cabin, slipping inside and keeping as quiet as possible. She crawled onto one of the beds, closed her eyes, and curled up as small as she could possibly get. She bit her tongue to stay silent, and hugged her knees into her chest, sighing gently.

(Short post just to move the plot along :D)

Carli was touching up her running eye makeup when a boy with sandy blonde hair stormed in. He looked so pissed off at the world, that she thought it would be a good idea to leave him alone, but good ideas aren't Carli's strong point. So she walked right up to him, looked him straight in the face and said

"You look pissed, so you might not want to talk, but I'm Carli, that's spelt with an "i". Who are you?" She blew a strand of blonde hair out of her vision and awaited an answer.

Andrew stared at the girl, scowling softly, and snorted, "I'm none of your damn business, that's who. I don't care how you spell your name, I don't care who you are, I don't care what your story is." With that, he snatched a book out of his bag and walked straight out the door, ears burning red. He hated being a jerk, but he was in no mood to speak to anyone, even his sister, which was saying something. He walked and walked, eyes on the ground, looking for anywhere away from here. If he was lucky, he could at least find a silent place where he could be alone whenever he wanted.

Carli followed the boy out of the cabin, and grabbed his shoulder with a strong grip. "Look here, no need to act like a dick. I asked a simple question, and I'm looking for a simple answer. What. Is. Your. Name?" She pronounced each word carefully, trying hard not to loose her head. She hated not getting answers.

Andrew grabbed the girl's wrist and turned to face her, getting right in her face, scowling. "You don't need to know my name, because you will never make use of it, understand?" He threw her arm down and walked away again, shaking with annoyance. "I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to. So please, don't push me. Not today."

Carli grinned at the boy's threat "Oh, you must think you are so scary. Well, Mr. Douche, I happen to do karate, so if you attack me, you'll be the one bleeding on a stretcher, not me. This is your last chance. What. Is. Your. Name? A one word answer is all I ask for," Carli noticed a girl with striking red hair staring at them as they argued back and forth, but she was too involved in the verbal fight to care.

Mary Sue facepalmed with her book. Slapping the book to her face hurted more then she thought it would but it did hit some sense into her head. She walked to the twoo figures arguing outside. The argument was getting out of hand... talking about martial arts and stretchers... "Okay, so you don't be a big baby and just give the girl an awnser" she said as she turned to the red faced guy "and you: this guy is an emotional wreck, not worth talking to at this point if you came here with a positive attitude" she winked at them both with a little chuckle in her sentence. "My name is Mary Sue and yours?" she asked them both.

Andrew closed his eyes, physically shaking, and rounded on the two girls. He opened his mouth, and then...

"Andrew!" Anna-Beth, tiny, blonde and trembling, came scrambling down towards him, and latched onto his hands, "Andrew, you promised. You promised." She inhaled sharply and automatically burst back into tears, clutching at her brother tightly. "You promised," she said again, and stared up at him. They locked identical eyes, and Andrew slumped, giving in to his sister's wishes.

"There. Now you know my name." He took the smaller girl's hand and dragged her away, down towards the fire pit, trying to support her while she cried. "Anna, you shouldn't have done that..."

"You promised you wouldn't fight, Andrew..."

"I know...I'm sorry." He sighed, face red from anger and embarrassment, and stared at his sister. She was his weak spot, and even though she was his opposite in every way, he couldn't help but adore her. Anna-Beth knew Andrew wasn't such a mean guy, he was just upset at the moment, he didn't like when things didn't go his way.

Mary Sue looked at Andrew and the girl who supposedly was called Anna. "So I see the three of you can handle it, I'm going to read my Sherlock Holmes story like I was planning to do untill you two started bitching. Oh by the way..." she looked at the tall blonde guy and put her index finger on his chest, pointing at him. "Listen to your little sister..." she winked at Anna, "it looks like she got the brainy part of you two while you were stuck with the moody..." She didn't know where she was going after she said that but she already felt that she wasn't on a 'friend making streak'... in the contrary.
