Name: Ser Quentyn Damon-Cowles, Lord of Farrencliffe
Nickname: Daemon
Occupation: Lord of Farrencliffe
Race: Human Pureblood
Class: Warrior
Magic: None
Background/History:
House Damon-Cowles, known to the lands of Imperia as the Lords of Farrencliffe, a marvelous village overlooking the Imperium Sea, to the South. The Current Ruler is Lord Quentyn, a brash and headstrong Noble who is battle-worn and a veteran of the battlefield, having fought in the Felyan-Human Independence War, leading House Damon-Cowles' cavalry against the Felyan-topped Spider Militia. For their excellent deeds on the battlefield, House Damon-Cowles, having been simple Knights commanding a regiment, were pronounced Lords of Farrencliffe by High King Goreg, after the former masters of the simple Fishing Village, House Tennesly, abandoned the field for simple protection within their walls. House Tennesly were executed by Guillotine as soon as the Felyans were defeated and the Damon-Cowles took residence over Farrencliffe. Knowing that there was time and prosperity since the Divide was created, House Damon-Cowles founded the Seafood Trade along the Southern Coast, allowing the House's Independence to grow at the same time as their Treasury Funds. They soon fortified Castle Farrencliffe, as the stone was cracked and crumbling, and replaced it with Dwarven Stone, which was expensive and cost a lot of gold from the Haumond Dwarves, before they went into hiding. They also fortified the Village, and upgraded the buildings with wood that wasn't rotten and more Dwarven Stone, but also upgraded the armour and shields of the patrolling Guards, so that their shields brandished the banner of House Damon-Cowles, and their Armour was shining steel, not a darkish bronze. Although his Family were known as Peaceful Rulers, that was the time of Lord Geoffrey Damon-Cowles that cemented the rule of the Damon-Cowles' as a good and peaceful one. Once Lord Geoffrey became incapable to rule, his son, Lord Quentyn, took the role as Lord of Farrencliffe and inserted his dominance over the town, placing strict curfews for the townspeople among other things.
Personality:
Even though the Damon-Cowles were fierce royalists and pledged the loyalty to the Crown, Lord Quentyn did not like or appreciate High King Haejar or his son, Prince Rickard. Always ready to further himself in Imperian Society, Lord Quentyn would backstab the Ruler of the Imperian Empire in a heartbeat. Although he wasn't the youngest ruler, at the stern age of 38, Quentyn already had sired two children: Nathaniel Damon-Cowles and Thomas Damon-Cowles. People say that had married his sister, thus starting the rumour of Lord Quentyn favouring incest. Lord Quentyn simply executed the ones that started the rumour and showed his wife off to the world, Baroness Cecilia Brannigan. He has long, brown hair and a matching goatee and sideburn combination, with stern eyebrows that pointed downwards, making him look angry and pompous. He preferred rich, colourful clothing, especially purple, to show off his wealth to the public and insert his dominance and the thought that he can do anything because of his status in life. He was despised by his townspeople, had led numerous small revolts and protests outside Castle Farrencliffe, which had been crushed and the leaders being simply Hung, Drawn and Quartered.
Equipment:
Even though he had withdrawn himself from many Civil Wars of the Imperian Empire, Lord Quentyn Damon-Cowles did not relinquish his battle-hardening and combat tactics training. His armour consisted of a bronze breastplate with gold and steel folded into the bronze to reinforce it, and a massive shoulder pauldron of the same metals, and smaller pauldrons underneath them to further reinforce the shoulders. While he did not prefer helmets, the Helm that he wore whenever he had to was a winged helmet of the same metal. When he was at strategy meetings or simple conferences where his armour was necessary, he wore a simple, navy cape with a gold trim over his right shoulder, which fastened together around his neck with a golden broach forged in the shape of a cutlass. His sword was a magnificent blade, with a silver blade with ancient Human symbols etched into the metal during the forging and a bronze handle wrapped in leather, with a single quartz gemstone in the pommel and the end of the handle. He had numerous leather straps over his breastplate, which all fastened to his belt, and held some pouches with herbs for healing and others with healing capsules. His shield was made of pure steel, and was a circular shield that protected his chest. Encrusted onto it was the emblem of House Damon-Cowles, but it was fading due to the shield being battle-worn and having the status of a family heirloom, passed down within generations of the House and would be passed on to Nathaniel Damon-Cowles upon the death of Lord Quentyn.
